Fernando Alonso Vows to Make Red Bull’s Life Miserable During Monaco GP After Sergio Perez Impeded Him During FP1
Fernando Alonso was left fuming after Red Bull’s Sergio Perez impeded him during FP1 of the Monaco GP on Friday. Immediately, following the moment on track, the Spaniard vowed to get his revenge.
Speaking of the moment, he told his race engineer Chris Conin on the radio, “These guys are incredible. Incredible“. In reply, Conin said, “Yep, you did your best there and he did not help back, copy that“.

On hearing this, a fuming Alonso said, “Yeah I do not care. I will be on the racing line all the slow laps“. Since a similar moment also took place during FP2, Alonso got all the more angry as he said, “I am speechless with these guys“.
‘I will attack more’: Fernando Alonso keen to fight for the win in Monaco
While speaking ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, Fernando Alonso explained how he views this race as arguably the best opportunity to fight for the win. As quoted by express.co.uk, he referred to the Monaco GP as a ‘one off opportunity‘ that he and Aston Martin had to try their best to make the most of.
Since this weekend could be his best opportunity to fight the flying Red Bulls, Alonso said, “We know that Monaco, Singapore, there are specific race tracks that you need to gain the confidence on the free practice, get closer and closer to the walls. And yeah, I will attack more than any other weekend, yes“.

Considering that Alonso has vowed to bring his best this weekend, fans can expect a tight battle for pole on Saturday. The Spaniard is likely to fight the two Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, and the two Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz for arguably the most important pole position of the season.
Alonso has had an outstanding start to the 2023 season
After finishing on the podium on four occasions from the first five races, Fernando Alonso‘s next target would be to get his first race win since 2013. The Spaniard has certainly shown throughout the first five races of the season that he still has what it takes to compete against the best by pulling off some incredible moves to fight for positions.

He is 30 points behind second-placed Sergio Perez and another 14 points behind championship leader Max Verstappen. If there is any race this season when Alonso can take the fight to the two flying Red Bulls, it will undoubtedly be this weekend in Monaco.
