Fernando Alonso’s ex-girlfriend, Linda Morselli, has opened up on a surprising incident. After suffering a horrific accident, which broke his jaw, the Spaniard cared more about the damage caused to his $10000 bicycle rather than the wounds he suffered following his horrific accident. The duo began dating in 2016 and their relationship lasted for five years until 2021.
After separating from the Italian model, Alonso dated Andrea Schlaeger from 2022 to 2023. The 41-year-old confirmed earlier this year that he had parted ways with Schlaeger.
Linda Morselli reveals a shocking incident about Fernando Alonso
According to Business F1, Linda Morselli revealed that her relationship with Fernando Alonso was ‘severely tested’ after the Spaniard had a horrific bicycle accident. The Spaniard was driving his bicycle near his home in Switzerland when he met with an accident with a car.
Following the accident, Alonso hit the ground face first at a ‘considerable speed’. As a result of this accident, he fractured his jaw and had ‘considerable damage to his teeth’. More importantly, the report states that Alonso’s ‘face swelled up like a balloon’.

Even though Alonso had severe damage to his face, his reaction left Morselli stunned. The Italian model stated that the Spaniard was more concerned about the damage caused to his $10000 bicycle rather than his own face. However, she believes that this was a result of the morphine that was injected into Alonso to curb the pain.
Alonso has had an outstanding start to the 2023 F1 season
After making several poor career moves, Fernando Alonso finally seems to have gotten one right. His move to Aston Martin at the start of this year has helped him clinch three consecutive podiums after the very first three races of the new season.
As a result, the Spaniard has now scored 45 points and is placed third in the championship. He is seven points clear of longtime rival Lewis Hamilton and just nine points behind second-placed Sergio Perez.
Alonso’s start to the 2023 season has been so bright that he himself has been caught by surprise. The 41-year-old is now considering increasing his expectations as now he wants to finish higher on the podium, having had three consecutive third-place finishes so far.
The Aston Martin driver’s next opportunity to potentially claim a higher finish will come at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The race in Baku will take place from April 28 to 30.
