Carlos Sainz has recently put his compatriot Fernando Alonso ahead when it comes to race-winning chances in the near future. The Ferrari driver is believed to have said this after realizing the clear advantage Alonso has over him.
Talking to Spain’s Antena 3, Sainz stated that the two-time world champion is likely to win his 33rd race before he can win his second. Sainz’s first-ever race victory has come in Silverstone last year.

Furthermore, the Prancing Horse star revealed that if he was at home watching the race, he would have definitely cheered for the former Ferrari star. Admittedly, the current statistics thoroughly support Sainz’s prediction.
Aston Martin did a mega job with their AMR23, the car regarded as the second strongest only next to Red Bull’s RB-19. Along with Alonso, the Silverstone-based team managed to dismantle both Mercedes and Ferrari so far in 2023.
Sainz called for “hard work” back at the factory
The Spanish driver, who recently lost his review for a point’s finish has recently called on the engineers back in the factory to pull up their socks and start putting in more effort. After their dismal start to the season.
After witnessing Max Verstappen of Red Bull, and Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin, the 28-year-old reckoned that “hard work” is necessary back at Maranello to ensure Ferrari goes back to winning ways.
🇦🇺 Good start and solid comeback after an unlucky situation with first red flag. Good race overall, but the penalty ruined it all and I don’t agree with it. Very difficult to digest, but I’ll take the positives and focus on the next race

After pole positions, wins, and podiums last year, expectations were high for the Prancing Horse. However, everything fell flat when the SF-23 took to the Bahrain International Circuit in the inaugural race of the 2023 season.
The Ferrari star called for support, not criticism
After their poor start to 2023, the Italian team has been receiving huge backlash on social media. The Tifosi in particular were not happy with how things have turned out and vented their frustration towards the team.
Pointing at this, the 28-year-old asked the Tifosi to support them in their time of need. The former McLaren driver stated on this that nobody’s more unhappy than the drivers, executives, and engineers on the team.
Hence, the dire criticism on the part of the fans adds to the already worse situation at Maranello. Scuderia Ferrari is currently in P4 in the constructors’ standings with 26 points. Team driver Sainz is in P5 with 20 points and Leclerc is in P10 with 6 points.
