Ralf Schumacher, brother of Michael Schumacher, has accused Lewis Hamilton of hiding behind fashion in the demand for attention. The German former driver is of the opinion that Hamilton, who’s not used to losing, has tried to grab attention with his outfits in Miami.
As per a recently published report by Sky Sports Germany, Schumacher said that the seven-time world champion is currently going through a rough patch, and as a result, he will be “extremely seething.”

Furthermore, Hamilton, who’s not used to such a dismal performance, wants attention. On this, the German said, “He’s not used to not winning. He wants attention, you can always see that in his outfits.”
Apart from pointing out his eye-catching fashion, the 47-year-old former driver also emphasized his recent performances in Miami, where he finished behind his younger teammate George Russell.
How did Hamilton fare against Russell in Miami?
Despite America being a happy hunting ground for the seven-time world champion, he couldn’t do much in the 2023 Miami Grand Prix. Keeping aside the mighty Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, the 38-year-was the second-best driver in Mercedes as well.
In the qualification on Saturday last week, the British driver qualified in a dismal P13, making it the worst-ever qualification performance by the Silver Arrows ace. However, Hamilton had a much better race on Sunday.

Despite starting the race from 13th place, the Briton made his way up to P6. But it was not enough to beat his teammate. Russell, who had a rather fine qualification thanks to Charles Leclerc’s crash, finished his race in P4.
How is the 2023 F1 season looking for Hamilton as a whole?
Lewis Hamilton is currently having one of the worst times of his career. With no win in almost one and a half seasons, winning the championship now looks like a distant dream for him.
Furthermore, Toto Wolff and his team have failed to deliver yet again despite their massive downfall in 2022. With the latest W-14 underperforming again, Hamilton surely isn’t liking the position he’s currently in.
However, there’s a silver lining for the Silver Arrows star in 2023. The Mercedes maestro is still ahead in the championship against his teammate, George Russell. Hamilton is in P4 in the standings with 54 points, compared to Russell’s P6 with 40 points.
