Hollywood Stardom Remains a Distant Dream for Charles Leclerc Amid Busy F1 Schedule

Charles Leclerc is one of the most popular F1 stars today, and becoming a Hollywood starlet is something that he wouldn’t rule out. Unfortunately for him and his fans, Leclerc simply doesn’t have enough time, which is why he has put the thought on hold, as per a recent interview.

Leclerc, who is having a woeful season by his standards at Ferrari in 2023, remains hugely popular among fans. His charming personality and good looks make him one of F1’s biggest stars. When asked if he would like to try his trade in the film industry, Leclerc immediately said yes.

Admittedly, Leclerc isn’t the only F1 driver with a dream of acting in big moves. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has stated on several occasions that acting in Hollywood is one of his goals. In Netflix’s Drive to Survive, he even said that if there is an opening in the next movie of the Top Gun franchise, Hamilton could very well leave F1 for the time being.

Unfortunately for both Leclerc and Hamilton, there simply isn’t enough time.

Charles Leclerc wants to star in movies when he has free time

Currently, F1 drivers barely get time off. There are 23 races in the 2023 F1 calendar, which is set to become 24 next year onwards. In those two months off, F1 drivers use the break to unwind, train and prepare themselves for another grueling battle the next season. Thus, there’s not enough time for the drivers to achieve what they want to away from the world of F1.

On Twitter, Tami posted a snippet of Leclerc’s interview where he talks about his dream of starring in a movie.

“Again, why not one day,” he said. “But right now, I clearly don’t have the time to go into films, as we have 23 F1 races to cover during the championship. We’re not often at home. So maybe later, when I have more free time.”

Struggles continue for Leclerc back in F1

In the world of F1, Leclerc is going through an excoriatingly difficult time. The Monegasque driver has just one podium finish this season, and his team Ferrari, is nowhere close to challenging for wins. Leclerc was hoping to end his Monaco GP curse this weekend, but misfortune struck the 25-year-old again.

The SF-23 wasn’t the fastest car out on track yesterday, but Leclerc managed to put it on P3. Unfortunately for him, the stewards decided to impose a three-place grid penalty on Leclerc because he impended Lando Norris in the tunnel section.

The Monaco Curse continues for Leclerc as he will start the race from P6 now. Overtaking isn’t easy in Monaco for F1 drivers, so Leclerc will be hoping for a miracle, if he wants to finish in the top three on Sunday.
