Lewis Hamilton has been in F1 for over 15 years now. The Briton has seen all the extensive expansion of the sport. When he started, there were only 17 races. Next season, he’ll have to enter in over 24.
Hamilton is not getting any younger, but he is still determined to continue. Despite the workload rise in an already hectic schedule, he sees himself for around five more years.
Yet, he admits that the F1 season is more exhaustive than it could be. However, he still wants to continue even though he is statistically the most successful F1 driver ever.

Lewis Hamilton tells his mother & sister get to see how tired he gets
Hamilton tells what his family feels about him continuing in F1. He claims that while his father and brother always suggest that he should continue, his mother and sister hold the same opinion but aren’t enthusiastic about it.
The reason is that they always see how exhausted the seven-time world champion gets from all the travelling and workload he has to deal with for his F1 career.
“For my mum and my sister? I can definitely sense they want me to do whatever I want to do,” said Hamilton. “They can also see how tiring it is, that it weighs heavy on you. Sometimes when I go around to my sister’s house I just pass out on the couch!”
Contract talks on the way
Hamilton’s current contract with Mercedes is tied to them until the end of the next season. As of now, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff seems keen to hand over a new contract extension to his superstar.
But several clauses and details need to be discussed. Wolff has reportedly revealed that the two parties will sit together in winter and agree on a new contract.
With George Russell, Hamilton shared a harmonious relationship even though the 103 GP winner got outscored by his younger compatriot. Something which Hamilton didn’t take on his ego.
Though, seeing the competitive side of Hamilton, fans could get puzzled over how easy Hamilton has been in this situation. But the veteran F1 driver claims he is a different teammate than he was five-six years ago.
Moreover, many also speculate that had Mercedes been competing for the title, Hamilton wouldn’t have shown this camaraderie. Something the 37-year-old driver disagrees with as he claims to realize that his time is coming up and Russell is the future of Mercedes.
