What happened to Hamilton in F1 today? What does stop and go penalty mean in Formula 1??

“I never heard of that” – Valtteri Bottas prevented to race against his teammate Lewis Hamilton, as the former had an opportunity to overtake.

Valtteri Bottas is often referred to be as the deputy of Lewis Hamilton on track, as it is crystal clear that Mercedes’ entourage gives more attention to Hamilton’s needs during a race.

Hamilton is a superstar and his 6 world titles with Ferrari make him an invincible member of the team and out of Bottas’ abilities to scratch his undisputed title.

To validate the claim, a similar thing happened during the Belgian Grand Prix, when the Finnish driver had the chance to attack at Hamilton in order to overtake but was advised against it.

Hamilton and Bottas started from P1 and P2 respectively, and at the start of the race, Bottas had a better start, during the lap six, he asked: “We have one push no?”

His race engineer replied, “We do but we agreed not to use it against each other”. And Bottas with a distasteful mood responded, “I never heard of that.”

Just like rest of the races, the top of the table was dominated by Mercedes, and it seems it is going to remain the same for a while, though below the top-3 the race was an excellent exhibition.
