"I see so many of you make up absolute crap"– Lando Norris on allegedly teasing Daniel Ricciardo while overtaking

“I see so many of you make up absolute crap”– Lando Norris claims that he didn’t mock Daniel Ricciardo while overpassing him.

Lando Norris had an eventful day during the Monaco Grand Prix race as he claimed the P2 podium. On the other hand, his teammate Daniel Ricciardo struggled across the weekend and finished with a P12.

Ricciardo was compelled to let Norris go ahead during the race, and the Briton was caught showing some gesture to his teammate, which many assumed he was mocking Ricciardo, but Norris denies the allegation.

“All right, so I see so many of you make up absolute crap and nonsense as usual,” said Norris. “By the way, any time someone lets me pass for a blue flag, anyone, if they get out of the way properly and they should, I put my hand up and say thanks, all right?”

I did it to everyone.

Norris tried to validate his statement by saying that he even thanked Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin with the same gesture, and it wasn’t noticed.

“I did it to freaking everyone; Mazepin, Schumacher, Danny … Whoever I passed and they got out of the way, I put my hand up and say thanks.”

“So, don’t just notice one when I passed Danny and think I’m doing something that is not right. Let me just get that point across because I see a lot of stories that people make up.”

Lando Norris- McLaren’s future

The Briton has impressed his bosses at Mclaren, making him bag a new deal with the Woking-based team, owing to his performances since last year.

Norris currently stands behind only Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen in the drivers’ championship standings, despite four cars on the grid being faster than his and his teammate being a veteran.
