Lewis Hamilton recently appeared in a hilarious video for Mercedes F1’s official YouTube channel, where he reacted to fans’ ‘Mean Tweets‘. While for most posts, the 38-year-old chose not to give any comment, there was one post where he hit back at the F1 fan for their ignorance.
An F1 fan put up a ‘mean’ Tweet that read, “I sometimes think Lewis Hamilton is just a character from Zoolander“. On reading this comment, a seemingly irked Hamilton replied, “I was in Zoolander 2, duh“.
The Briton played a small cameo role in the comedy film, Zoolander 2, which also featured Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, among others. Hamilton, who has also played a cameo in Cars 2, once said that he would also be open to considering acting once he retires from F1.
‘I would love to act one day’: Lewis Hamilton after Zoolander 2 cameo
While speaking to DAZN in an interview in 2021, Lewis Hamilton opened up on his hidden passions and named acting as a career that he would be open to pursuing if he receives an opportunity in the future. When asked if he would like to host a TV show someday, the Briton replied, “No. I would love to act one day“.
He then went on to comment upon his mantra of how he wants to be the best in everything he pursues. Hence, with this mindset, Hamilton stated that if he gets an opportunity to act, then he will make sure he goes to classes and studies how best to express his emotions to ensure that he puts on his best performance.

The 38-year-old then ended his comments by stating that he currently does not have the time to pursue acting because of his F1 responsibilities, but he would keep this as an option once he retires. Although acting is a very different career, Hamilton’s millions of fans around the world would yet love to see him play more of a prominent role in a film rather than small cameos.
Hamilton is not keen to retire anytime soon
In various recent interviews, Lewis Hamilton has made it clear that he is still going strong and is not keen on retiring from F1 anytime soon. The Briton, who has won a joint record of seven world championships alongside the legendary Michael Schumacher, still has this record in his sights.
Considering the start that Mercedes have had in the 2023 season, it seems extremely difficult that Hamilton would be able to pose any sort of a challenge for the title this season. Other than an outstanding second-place finish in Australia, the 38-year-old has failed to finish on the podium in any of the other four races.
Consequently of this mediocre start to the new campaign, Hamilton currently finds himself fourth in the championship. He has scored just 56 points and is already a whopping 63 points behind championship leader Max Verstappen.
