"I would like to respond to some comments I have seen from Toto"– Christian Horner

“I would like to respond to some comments I have seen from Toto”– Christian Horner retaliates to the ‘personal comments’ criticism by Toto Wolff.

After the British Grand Prix’s collision between Lewis Hamilton and Christian Horner, there were some harsh comments on the seven-time world champion.

And Toto Wolff took the cognizance and claimed that there were some personal comments by Red Bull, which were never before made in the history of F1.

“I would like to respond to some comments I have seen from Toto, who is quoted as saying that our comments regarding Hamilton causing the accident were ‘so personal’,” Horner said.

“I would like to make it clear. This was an on-track incident between two of the best drivers in the world. The moment you have a driver in hospital and the extent of the injuries is not yet clear,” he added.

“Your car is written off and the stewards have penalised the driver deemed responsible, it is natural that emotion comes into play, for all concerned, whether you feel aggrieved or victorious,” the Red Bull Racing team boss concluded.

Christian talks about the impact

Horner, in his blog, talked about the impact caused by the crash and revealed it was so massive that it actually broke the car seat. Though, Verstappen came out unharmed from the crash.

But it really hampered Red Bull’s mammoth lead over Mercedes; Verstappen’s lead over Hamilton reduced to eight points after that DNF of the dutch race driver.

Now, F1’s whole contingent is travelling to Hungary this week before the summer break, and Red Bull would be fancying the next win to extend their advantage over the Brackley based team. So, the following battles will be interesting between the two top drivers in the table.
