"I would say that for me was my stand-out performance"- Lewis Hamilton points out his performance of the year

“I would say that for me was my stand-out performance”- Lewis Hamilton from his 7th Championship winning season names his best performance.

Lewis Hamilton recorded history this season by winning his 7th Drivers’ championship title and seems to press his dominance in the following season also.

This season, the Brit recorded 11 wins out of the 17 races happened this year. When you have such a near to perfect record, it is difficult to pick one accomplishment, but Hamilton’s heart is set at one race, which he thought exhibited his capabilities the most.

“Turkey, naturally is the closest one to memory, because it was not that long ago,” Hamilton said as per the Motorsport. “I think that was [the best] for me, in the circumstances we were faced with as drivers,”

“And with it being so pressured, the championship could be won at that moment. I would say that for me was my stand-out performance.” he further said.

The weather conditions in Turkey along with asphalt resurface posed low gripping conditions, giving unfavourable conditions to everyone. But Hamilton risked his race by one-stop strategy and eventually it rewarded him, as he emerged victoriously.

And that win secured his championship title, making him equalize Michael Schumacher’s illustrious record.

Helmut Marko dissed Hamilton with a similar statement

Helmut Marko who stands opposite to Hamilton in F1 kind of dissed Hamilton when talked about him being given the best performer of 2020 by the Motorsport.

To which, the Red Bull chief replied that he agrees, but only on the basis of his performance in Turkey, and apart from that he didn’t feel anything special was delivered by Hamilton, as according to Marko, nothing can go wrong in a Mercedes.

Marko is not the only one to play the Mercedes car card in Red Bull, Max Verstappen has also subtly made such remarks, though being cautious of his words at the same time.
