Lewis Hamilton and Roger Federer Join Hands in Getting Destroyed on Court by Their Old Men

Lewis Hamilton and Roger Federer were filmed playing tennis with their respective fathers, and the outcome was different from what one would expect. Both Hamilton and Federer Sr. ended up destroying their sons in tennis. This was particularly hilarious, especially considering Federer’s legacy in the game of tennis.

Hamilton and Federer are both legends of their respective sports. In the world of F1, there has never been a better driver than Hamilton (statistically) and the Brit has broken just about every record. In Tennis, Federer is considered among the greatest ever, having won 20 Grand Slam titles in his career, lasting until 2022.

However, when it comes to playing against their respective fathers, they didn’t live up to their legendary names. In a video shared by Tennis Legend on Instagram, the two iconic athletes were seen engaging in a game of tennis with their fathers, and surprisingly, they both got torn apart.

The video showed Hamilton and Federer playing tennis with their dads, Anthony Hamilton and Robert Federer. Even though the two father-son duos played in different places at different times, they could join hands with one thing in common- getting destroyed.

Hamilton isn’t known for his tennis skills. His ‘old man’, however, isn’t known to be much of an athlete at all. Hence, when the 52-year-old Brit hit a bamboozling drop-shot to defeat Hamilton in a point, it was very surprising.

Federer meanwhile, was evidently fooling around on court. On his day, even a retired Roger Federer would surely give any opponent a tough time, but while joking around with his dad on the tennis court, the latter hit a smash that struck the Swiss fairly hard. Both these games were played light-heartedly, and all four people involved shared a laugh as soon as the point was over.

Hamilton and Federer may not have been playing tennis together during the beforementioned incidents, but they surely know each other. In fact, earlier this year, Federer admitted to being a Lewis Hamilton fan.

Federer admits to being a Hamilton fan

Earlier this year, Federer traveled to Florida for the 2023 Miami GP. There, the 41-year-old was answered who his favorite driver was, and it wasn’t much of a shock when he said it was Hamilton.

As reported by Tennis World, Federer praised Red Bull’s Max Verstappen for being the dominant star he has been over the last two years. However, when it comes to preference, he would choose Hamilton and his Mercedes teammate George Russell.

He thanked Russell for being in attendance for his retirement game in London in 2022. And while he wished Verstappen and Russell good luck, he hoped for a strong showing from Hamilton, which shows how big of a fan he is.
