Lewis Hamilton is Proud of How His Brother is Everyday Defying All Odds in One of The Leading British Competitions

Just like his brother, Nicolas Hamilton is also a professional race driver. The 31-year-old race driver suffers from Cerebral Palsy, though when it comes to competing against his counterparts, he has a physical disadvantage.

Yet, Nicolas is determined to excel in the competition. Despite all the odds, his sincere efforts make his brother Lewis Hamilton swell with pride.

Amidst the F1 pause, Lewis was spotted watching his brother Nicolas racing in British Tour Car Championship (BTCC). The seven-time world champion posted several stories of his brother in action.

Lewis Hamilton is proud of his brother

On Thursday, Lewis was asked about his disguised appearance during the press conference when he saw his brother competing in BTCC. The Mercedes starclaimed that he is proud his brother is bringing in excellent results despite competing against the odds.

“My brother, who I am incredibly proud of, is racing in a series and a sport where there’s no access for people that are disabled. He got 6th in the race and I was so excited,” said Hamilton to the media on Thursday.

The Mercedes star, with his statement, has made a huge point, as motor racing has often been alleged for being not inclusive enough. And reportedly, there is little participation from people with disabilities because of little amends to make it more accessible.

Aiming for a stronger race

The first two races of the season were tough for Silver Arrows. But with Lewis bringing in a podium for his team in Australia, Mercedes made a big leap in the season.

The Silver Arrows realize they can’t contend for the championship. Anyway, the Brackley-based team is expected to bring in changes in the car to bolster their season against the likes of Ferrari and Aston Martin.

Now, whether the duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell could optimize their results with the new developments remains to be seen. Mercedes would expect to maintain their performance in Azerbaijan too.
