Lewis Hamilton Offers Neymar Chance To Sit in His Mercedes W14 as Payback For Notorious Monaco GP Snub

Lewis Hamilton and Brazil footballer Neymar are good friends. However, the Mercedes driver gave his old pal the cold shoulder when the Brazilian greeted him during the 2023 Monaco GP track walk. As Neymar called him, the Briton whizzed past in his electric scooter. And now Hamilton decided to make amends with the PSG striker by inviting him inside the Mercedes garage in an exclusive tour.

Neymar got the chance to check out the 7x world champion’s Mercedes W14, which cost the Silver Arrows around $14,000,000 to build. Hopefully, this will be enough to please the Brazilian who dropped an F-bomb after Hamilton reached out to him.

After appearing in the Monaco GP weekend, Neymar was again at the F1 paddock in Barcelona. However, the Brazilian spent quality time with his friend Lewis Hamilton this time.

Puma Motorsport shared stories of the two greetings each other. The duo possibly laughed at Hamilton’s infamous snub in Monaco. They also showed the PSG striker getting comfortable in the 7x champion’s car.

Neymar also met other F1 drivers sponsored by Puma. The footballer took pictures with Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, Mercedes’ George Russell, and Alfa Romeo’s Zhou Guanyu.

Neymar responds with “F**k you” to Lewis Hamilton

As Red Bull’s guest, Neymar was invited to the 2023 Monaco GP weekend. The footballer was giving an interview while walking in the F1 paddock when he spotted his friend Lewis Hamilton approaching in his direction.

Neymar stepped away from the interview and tried to gain the driver’s attention but to no avail. The sign-off Hamilton ignoring his friend became an instant meme among F1 fans.

The Briton reacted to the incident after the race on Sunday. In his Instagram story, he tagged the PSG player with a “My bad bro.” To which Neymar responded with, “F**k you!” While it all seems like friendly banter, he surely made up for his mistake by letting the footballer in his team’s garage.

Hamilton and Neymar are good friends, having known each other since 2016. The duo has shown their support for each other after crucial games or victories. They have been spotted together numerous times, attending NBA matches, fashion shows, football games, or F1 races.

The Mercedes driver revealed in an interview in 2021 that he stays in touch with the PSG player. The two are also extremely popular in Neymar’s native land Brazil. The seven-time world champion was conferred honorary citizenship in the South American nation in 2022, for which the PSG star showed his support.
