Hamilton was even celebrated on The Sunday Times’ 2022 Giving List for donating a whopping over $24 Million to charities.

And unquestionably, his activism does bring a spotlight on issues. Although he tries to help out as much as he can, he admits that there is only so much he can do.

“You can’t do everything, you’re only one person” – Lewis Hamilton

Hamilton has become a renowned figure for charities and NGOs that are seeking his patronage to bring attention to their own aims.

The Briton revealed that he speaks out about a lot of different things. Caring is good and it doesn’t matter what it is that you’re caring about and there is no limit to that.

But there is definitely a limit to the things he can do, being just one person. Speaking in the interview, he revealed that he has learned to narrow down and put his energy and focus into a particular area.

The 7-time world champion hopes to bring eyes to some causes

Ahead of the Brazil GP in 2022, Hamilton attended a function at the British Embassy in Brasilia. He revealed that he met a lot of different people from different NGOs describing their causes.

And he wanted to learn more about them. So he’d go away and read about them on his flights. He further stated that every day he is being asked to ambassador for so many things.

“There’s this clear cry for help. I’ve just got to remember there is only so much of me,” he said. Therefore, he just praises them and hopes that his words and presence will bring more eyes to the causes.
