"Love and appreciate you all"- Lewis Hamilton drops message to fans after week long inactivity post COVID-19 diagnosis

“Love and appreciate you all”- Lewis Hamilton sends across his first message to fans on his social media account after week-long of inactivity.

Lewis Hamilton gave his first social media appearance after his COVID-19 positive diagnosis, which forced him to remain in isolation since then and is yet to come out.

In the message with the caption “Love and appreciate you all” dropped by Hamilton, he reassured his fans that he is recovering fast and today was better than all the previous days, as he also had his first workout session.

Though he also mentioned that COVID-19 has also taken a toll on him, as according to him the days after the symptoms appeared was the worst among all, and apologised for not remaining in touch with people connected to him via social media.

However, he has promised that if his health and the following COVID test allows, he will be there in Abu Dhabi to drive for Mercedes in the last race of the season. Though, he needs to get clearance before Thursday to race in Dubai.

George Russell to get another Mercedes drive?

George Russell was approached by Mercedes when Hamilton got diagnosed positive of COVID-19, the young driver was all excited to race for his parent team and eventually had his best F1 weekends so far, until the puncture spoilt his race.

With the uncertainty over Hamilton driving Mercedes this weekend is still open, it may benefit his compatriot and give him another chance for a hit at the podium.

It was unfortunate to see Russell sealing his first F1 career points at 9th position, as in reality, he was worthy of getting a podium, as he dominated the most part of the race.

The outcome of the race did devastate Russell, but in the end, this is how this sport works, but on the brighter side Sergio Perez after years of hard work got his first Grand Prix victory.
