Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet’s recent antic after the conclusion of the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix sparked breakup rumors. The pair who are often into public display of affection, have walked the other way around, and this did not seem normal to the fans.
Apart from the footage that has been doing rounds on social media recently, there have already been rumors a few days back about their split. For example, fans such as Eden who logged into Twitter just to find out the duo reportedly spilt.
However, neither Verstappen nor Piquet has opened up publicly about this. Furthermore, with this just being an F1 rumor, just like Fernando Alonso-Taylor Swift dating or Lewis Hamilton-Shakira being together, there isn’t any solid evidence to support the claim.
Has Verstappen broken up with Kelly?
The Brazilian, who’s one of the biggest supporters of her partner and reigning world champion Verstappen, has seen a rather awkward moment in Monaco.
Piquet, who’s spotted in multiple paddocks throughout the year with Red Bull and the Dutchman, was in Monte Carlo as well. However, this time, it was a bit different with the ‘cold shoulder’ involved.

The two-time world champion, who often hugs Kelly Piquet upon seeing her after the race win, had a different body language in the Principality. As the 25-year-old won the race, there were no hugs or showcases of affection, as seen in an Instagram video.
This seemed strange given how the former partner of Daniil Kvyat put a train of stories building up to the Monaco Grand Prix race. All in all, the Verstappen-Piquet situation seems everything but smooth.
Verstappen and Piquet’s relationship over the years
Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet have been connected to each other at the end of the 2020 season. But they made their relationship public in 2021. The pair are regarded are one of the power couples of the grid and have given the F1 numerous adorable moments.
The adorability goes up a notch higher when the Red Bull star plays with Penelope, Kelly Piquet’s daughter from her previous relationship with Kvyat.
Penelope, popularly known as P, is often seen around Verstappen whenever the Dutch pilot streams whenever he’s at home. All in all, Max Verstappen as the ‘step-dad’ of P, and his fine relationship with Kelly Piquet has been a great partnership so far.
