Max Verstappen Girlfriend: When Did the Red Bull Star Drop the First Hint of Dating Kelly Piquet?

Max Verstappen and his girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, have been in a relationship for over three years now. While they began dating sometime in late 2020, they only officially confirmed their relationship on New Year’s Day in 2021.

A fan named Oana recently unearthed one of Piquet’s old posts from November 2020 that suggests she had already begun dating Verstappen then. On November 11, 2020, the Brazilian put up a post that read,

Darker than the ocean, deeper than the sea, you got everything, you got what I need“.

Just an hour later, Verstappen replied by stating,

Together we can face challenges as deep as the sea and as high as the sky“.

Max Verstappen’s girlfriend has been enjoying her time with Martin Garrix

While Max Verstappen was showcasing his dominance on the race track, his girlfriend Kelly Piquet was enjoying her time with Dutch DJ Martin Garrix. The 34-year-old borrowed Daniel Ricciardo’s camera clicked several pictures with Garrix, and uploaded them to her social media account.

After Verstappen clinched his third win of the F1 2023 season in Miami, Piquet also attended the podium celebrations of her boyfriend with Garrix and her older brother, Nelson Piquet Jr. Garrix is a good friend of Verstappen as they both hail from the Netherlands.

Verstappen’s win in Miami helps him to extend his championship lead

Max Verstappen seems to have carried on his form from last year as he won the Miami Grand Prix this past Sunday despite starting the race in ninth. The Dutchman drove an incredible race as he utilized the perfect strategy by extending his first stint on the hards.

While driving on the hards, the 25-year-old not only passed his rivals with ease but also extended enough of a gap to his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez that he had almost a pit-stop advantage over him. Once Verstappen had managed to build such a gap, he pitted for the mediums and made an easy pass over the Mexican to win the race.

As a result of this win, Verstappen extended his lead in the championship from six points to 14 points from Perez. Considering that the Dutchman is showing no signs of relenting, Perez will have it all to do in the upcoming races if he wants to challenge his teammate for the world championship.
