At just 25 years old, Max Verstappen has some time before he pulls out the old-age talk. However, the Red Bull champion has a hidden possession, reserved for a time in the distant future when he has retired from F1 and can truly utilize it. This special toy is hidden away, stashed in the Netherlands, waiting for the day Verstappen has gray hair and the time to enjoy it.
Slipping up, Verstappen accidentally revealed to Kelly Piquet that he owns a Harley Davidson. Averaging around $20,300 in the US, depending on the model, Verstappen has spent his Red Bull salary smartly. However, it turns out to be more of an investment as the champion has other plans for the classy beauty for now.

“Which bike?” enquired Piquet, who was clearly taken aback by this new information. With a smile on his face, Verstappen coyly admitted to his secret. “I have a Harley.”
An unexpected response, the Brazilian model was left with a plethora of questions. “For what?” was the important one. Max Verstappen then detailed his plans for the bike.

“What would be nice, is maybe to put it in the living room. Maybe it’s better, in a few years’ time. Then I have time to ride it with my fat belly on the tank.”
Kelly, who had listened in silence, could only respond with the suggestion, “Maybe you can join the Hells Angels in Monaco.” For someone so obsessed with racing, it probably isn’t a bad idea for Verstappen.
Red Bull curbs Verstappen’s two-wheeled dreams
In conversation with Moto GP champion Marc Marquez, Verstappen had admitted to being envious of his sports. Itching to try a Moto GP bike, Red Bull holds him back from giving it a shot.
In awe, he said, “These guys are crazy, the speed they have on a straight line is incredible.” But his career lies on the line. “But the team won’t give me permission, I could break my leg.
While going slow is always an option, it doesn’t work that way for Max Verstappen. “Go slow? I know myself well. If I try I would push, but the problem is if something goes wrong.”
Thus, Verstappen’s retirement plan pans out. And it sure would be a sight to behold. Many championships down the line, a chubby Verstappen, cruising down the streets of Monaco on his Harley, while Kelly Piquet probably holds on for dear life.
