Max Verstappen Recalls a Hilarious Incident About Charles Leclerc: 'You Know Chuck...'

After the first four races of the 2023 season, F1 is currently visiting the USA for round 5 in Miami. Ahead of the race, Max Verstappen appeared in an interesting interview when he was asked to name someone he had met in America that he did not know.

When asked this question on the ‘Pardon My Take’ podcast, the Dutchman hilariously replied, “Chuck. Chuck Leclerc. Do you know Chuck“? Verstappen then revealed that he was referring to star Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, who was once referred to as Chuck.

Max Verstappen was referring to the 2022 Miami GP post-race interviews when the interviewer called Charles Leclerc ‘Chuck’. The interviewer not only called Leclerc ‘Chuck’ while asking the Ferrari driver questions, but also in a later interview that he gave himself.

Fans seemed to have enjoyed Verstappen’s reply on the ‘Pardon My Take’ podcast as several such as Hemi have stated that they found this interaction hilarious.

Meanwhile, some fans such as Rose pointed out how the interviewers were left extremely confused. They believe that the interviewers perhaps themselves did not know about last year’s Miami GP post-race interview.

And there are several other fans such as Anika, who believe that Verstappen is ‘obsessed’ with Leclerc since he mentions the Monegasque so often.

Leclerc will hope to provide Verstappen with another tough fight in Miami

After three heartbreaking races to kickstart the season, Charles Leclerc finally had a strong race in Baku last weekend. The 25-year-old went toe to toe with the two Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez and ended up finishing on the podium in both the sprint race and the main race.

As a result of this fantastic performance, he scored 22 points in Baku to add to the six he scored in the first three races. This result helped Leclerc move up to sixth in the championship with 28 points, just six points behind Carlos Sainz.

As for Verstappen, it was another strong week. The Dutchman scored 24 points in Baku to take his points tally to 93 after the first four races. However, with Perez outscoring him, Verstappen’s lead in the championship has now reduced to just six points.
