“My Brother and I Used to Cry”: Charles Leclerc’s Childhood Likes and Dislikes Exposed by Brother Arthur Leclerc

Ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix next week, hometown boy Arthur Leclerc has revealed an interesting memory from his childhood. The Monegasque explained how he and his brother, Charles Leclerc, used to hate the noise that F1 cars created when they were young and how things have changed now.

With a chuckle, Arthur said, “When I was a kid, I remember my brother and I used to cry sometimes because the f1 cars were too loud, so we needed some earplugs. Now it is a bit different. I mean, the speed at which the cars go beyond the walls is just incredible“.

Considering that F1 racers usually drive at speeds in excess of 200 mph, the last thing they can afford to hate is the noise. When these drivers race at such blistering speeds, there is undoubtedly a lot of noise and this also helps bring out a huge amount of adrenaline.

Charles Leclerc revealed his house is in turn 1 of the Monaco GP

Ahead of his first home race in 2017, Charles Leclerc put up an emotional post about his childhood memories. He put up a Tweet ahead of his F2 race, wherein he stated that growing up, he witnessed the first grandstand of the circuit be constructed from his house.

He added that 2017 was going to be his first race in Monaco, along with a special note for his fans, wherein he stated that his house is on turn one of the street track. Next week, as F1 heads to Principality for round 6, it will be the sixth time that Leclerc will compete in his home Grand Prix.

Leclerc will be hoping that after a disappointing start to the 2023 season, he can finally bring some joy to himself and to his home fans by putting in a strong performance. The Monegasque came agonizingly close to winning his home race for the first time last year but a disastrous pit stop decision by Ferrari cost him the win.

Arthur and Charles build up excitement for the 2023 Monaco GP

Arthur and Charles Leclerc are absolutely adored by Monegasques and a recent video is a testament to the same. The  Leclerc brothers got their Ferrari Pista out for a ride last week in the Principality, much to delight their fans two weeks ahead of their home race.

Because of the popularity of the two drivers, unsurprisingly a huge crowd gathered to watch them. Looking at the crowd, fans such as Livi called the two Leclerc brothers ‘Monaco’s main tourist attraction‘.

Considering the number of fans that gathered to watch the duo just for a small ride, it only gives an indication of the number of people that are likely to gather to watch one of the most iconic races in F1.
