Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton have been rivals in F1 for a long time. It was at its peak when the German driver was in Ferrari and was frustrated with the latter’s dominance in the sport along with Mercedes. However, as they both admitted later, that tough period brought them closer together as friends.
Throughout their time as rivals, in spite of the incidents on track, there were always jokes and banter off it. Vettel is one of the most popular figures in the F1 community and has had several memorable moments in press conferences. Nevertheless, revealing Hamilton’s (supposed) room number during a press conference has to rank up top.

When Vettel was at Ferrari, he had Hamilton were in an interview session together. There, Vettel jokingly brought up how girls would want to go up to Hamilton’s hotel room. What followed was Vettel saying, “Radisson hotel room number 708.” Of course, it was a joke on the four-time World Champion’s part, but it was definitely a funny and bizarre moment.
Lewis Hamilton sure about Sebastian Vettel returning to F1
Vettel announced his retirement from F1 earlier this year, and the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was his last race. However, plenty of F1 figures including Fernando Alonso and Hamilton are adamant that he will return to F1.
The former Red Bull driver himself has not ruled out a return to F1. He said that he is more interested in things away from the sport such as spending time with his family, but does not have an answer about a potential return yet.

“Obviously, I’ve done this for so long and it’s central to my life,” said Vettel. “So, it will be difficult to say that I’m not going to miss it. But how much and whether then I start to look at something else, we’ll see.”
Hamilton is sure that Vettel will return to F1 in some shape or form in the near future. A lot of people have labeled him as a good leader, so the 35-year-old returning to the management of one of the teams or the sport as a whole is very possible.
