Sebastian Vettel Tipped To Leave Retirement For Red Bull F1 Return

Sebastian Vettel’s return to F1 might be on the cards this year. As per renowned F1 commentator Ted Kravitz, the four-time world champion might make a comeback to the sport and to his former team Red Bull.

However, it is believed he might be back, but not as a driver. Instead as an executive in the Austrian team. As per reports, Kravitz believes that Vettel might be replacing veteran taskmaster Helmut Marko in the Milton-Keynes brigade.

With Marko getting old, there is a high possibility of the German replacing him in the Austrian higher-ups. But, Kravitz has also not ruled out a switch to Audi when they enter the sport in 2026.

The German former pilot bid goodbye to the sport at the end of the 2022 F1 season. After 300 race entries, four championships, and 53 race wins, the time was up for the Heppenheim-born in Formula 1 last year.

What did Kravitz say about Vettel?

Kravitz, speaking on Vettel, said, “We may well see a surprise comeback of Sebastian Vettel this year.” But, certainly not as a driver since he has decided not to drive anymore, he stated.

As he already bid goodbye to the sport as a driver and as a man of integrity he is not expected to reverse his decision to come back as a driver, the commentator shared. He might be back with Audi, but Kravitz thinks it is Red Bull that’s going to be his first choice in case of a return.

The Sky Sports commentator then emphasized the role the 35-year-old is likely to take up in Red Bull, and that’s going to be the place of Marko. Vettel will replace Marko as a sporting advisor if the comeback is on the cards.

Horner applauded Vettel’s management characteristics

As the German pilot was preparing to make the exit in 2022, team bosses including Red Bull honcho Christian Horner made interesting comments on the four-time world champion.

Applauding Vettel’s efforts, Horner shared that Vettel is a great people person. He understands the value of people and the contribution they make to success.

The British executive also added that the 35-year-old has the personality and skills to take up the managerial posts if he feels to. Horner concluded by marking Sebastian Vettel as, “One of those guys that’s annoyingly good at anything he chooses to do.”
