Sebastian Vettel's almost new Nissan GT-R is up for grabs for $260,000

4-time world champion Sebastian Vettel said his goodbyes to the world of Formula 1 as the 2022 championship season ended.

The German driver was showered with tributes during his final days in the sport. Autosports Awards even honoured him with the lifetime achievement award for his contribution to the sport.

At the award ceremony, Vettel bought the sidepod of his 2022 Aston Martin F1 car to add to his varied collection. Interestingly, the British team had put the sidepod up for a silent auction without his knowledge.

As one item makes entry into his collection, another of his personal items has gone up for sale. As it happens, Vettel’s Nissan GT-R which has only been driven 93 miles is now up for grabs for almost $260,000.

Specifications of Sebastian Vettel’s Nissan

The car was originally bought by the 4-time world champion back in 2012. Vettel’s Nissan R-35 GT-R comes in the undesirable Black Edition.

It features a carbon fibre spoiler and a set of 20-inch Rays alloy wheels that makes it look like it has come straight out of the Japanese Domestic Market.

The seats come in the colour combination of red-on-black which comes exclusively with the Black Edition. The car features a twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre V6 engine which develops 545hp and 463lb-ft of torque.

Vettel believes in Nico Hulkenberg

The 2023 lineup will see Nico Hulkenberg take a seat next to Kevin Magnussen in Haas after the team decided to let go of Mick Schumacher.

Vettel has a close relationship with Schumacher and has often defended his 2-year stint with the team but that does not equate to being uncaring of Hulkenberg’s difficulties in his career.

Vettel said that Nico is one of the drivers who has absolute potential. He added that maybe his fellow German driver was not in the right car at the right time and that could happen to anybody.
