He then ended his post by suggesting all his fans stay on the path they are on no matter how many times they fall. Hamilton said that he is there for his fans and that they are ‘not alone’.

Hamilton’s 2023 season gets off to a decent start

After a disappointing 2022 season in which he finished sixth in the championship, Lewis Hamilton has had a decent start to his 2023 campaign. The Mercedes driver has so far had two fifth-place finishes in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and an outstanding second-place finish in the last race in Australia.

The 38-year-old just finished behind championship leader Max Verstappen and crucially ahead of third-placed Fernando Alonso. Consequently of these results, Hamilton has scored 38 points so far and finds himself fourth in the championship.

He is just seven points behind third-placed Alonso and a further nine points behind second-placed Sergio Perez. However, crucially for Hamilton, he is 20 points clear of his Mercedes teammate George Russell, having lost in the championship fight to the 25-year-old last season.

After three reasonably strong races, Hamilton will now hope to carry forward this momentum to the next race in Baku. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place from April 28 to 30.
