Two Years Before Dating Kelly Piquet, Max Verstappen Resorted to Grindr to Boost His Dating Life, but Failed

Two years before he began dating Kelly Piquet, Max Verstappen opened up on his struggles in getting a girlfriend. He explained his frustration with using dating apps as they did not work. Despite being a star, the 25-year-old revealed that he did not find much success on dating platforms such as Grindr, Tinder, Bumble, and Happn.

In one of his old videos that resurfaced on social media, the interviewer was having a discussion with Verstappen and his former Red Bull teammate Daniel Ricciardo about the use of dating apps. The interviewer began the conversation by asking Ricciardo about how he utilizes dating apps to go out.

Even though the interviewer asked the Australian, it was Verstappen who interrupted and hilariously replied, “Tinder, Grindr, Bumble, Happn”. On hearing the Dutchman’s response, the interviewer and Ricciardo burst into laughter.

The interviewer then asked Verstappen if he had used any of these apps when he was single, to which the 25-year-old replied, “No, it doesn’t work. They always think it is a fake account”. While Verstappen did not have much success on dating apps, he still has dated several women in the past.

The Dutchman first began dating Swedish racing driver Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky. While it remains unclear how long their relationship lasted, they reportedly separated before Verstappen made his move to Red Bull in 2016.

After his relationship with Åhlin-Kottulinsky ended, Verstappen is believed to have dated three more women before he finally began dating Kelly Piquet in January 2021.

Fortunately for Verstappen, he will no longer need to use a dating app as he is in a committed relationship with Piquet.
