Valtteri Bottas Calls Girlfriend Tiffany Cromwell an ‘Inspiration’ as He Supports Her on the Cycling Track
With F1 currently on a four-week break, Alfa Romeo driver Valtteri Bottas turned into a fan as he took to the cycling track to support his girlfriend, Tiffany Cromwell. Cromwell is an Australian road and gravel cyclist, who currently races for Canyon–SRAM on the UCI Women’s World Tour.
Cromwell and Bottas have been in a relationship for over three years, having begun dating in February 2020. When they are not busy with their respective sports, they have often been seen supporting each other.
Valtteri Bottas calls girlfriend Tiffany Cromwell an inspiration
Even though Valtteri Bottas is currently one of the best drivers in Formula 1, he has not been afraid to try his hands at other forms of racing. Other than F1, the Finnish driver has also taken part in Rallying and Extreme E. And in the past, he has also revealed his love for cycling.
Bottas recently gave an interview when he said that while he may not be as good as Cromwell at cycling, he does enjoy watching the sport. He then went on to call his girlfriend an ‘inspiration’ by explaining how much he appreciates the effort cyclists have to put in.
When asked about who was a ‘bad loser’ between the two, Bottas stated with a chuckle that they both were ‘pretty bad losers’. Cromwell agreed with her boyfriend by stating that while they both are ‘bad losers’ generally, she is perhaps worse when it comes to their professional careers.
However, she did also state that Bottas was not the best at accepting defeat while he was driving for Mercedes. Speaking of the same, the Finnish driver added, “I think I have learned over my career about processing failures and how to try and turn them into positive energy instead of just being down for a long time”.

Bottas has had a decent start to the 2023 F1 season
After three races, Valtteri Bottas has currently scored four points for Alfa Romeo and is eleventh in the championship. He has scored two more points than his teammate, Zhou Guanyu, and is just two points behind Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.
The Finnish driver will now hope that he can carry forward this momentum to the next race in Baku. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix takes place from April 28 to 30.
