Red Bull test driver Daniel Ricciardo has provided insight about his exciting trip to Las Vegas earlier this year. The 33-year-old visited the city to arrange the bachelor party for Australian snowboarder Scotty James, who is marrying Chloe Stroll, the sister of Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll.
During his trip to Las Vegas, Ricciardo also attended the concert of the Chainsmokers. He interestingly did all of this just a few days before his home Grand Prix.
‘We behaved well’: Daniel Ricciardo on his trip to Las Vegas
While speaking to the Athletic about his trip to Las Vegas, Daniel Ricciardo said, “For what Vegas could be, I would say we behaved well“. However, he did admit that he felt ‘mischievous’ about partying just a few days before the Australian Grand Prix.
It is pertinent to note that Ricciardo did mention via a LinkedIn post earlier in the year that he would need to reset his goals for the 2023 season since he failed to secure a race seat, but he never mentioned anything about partying. And this is perhaps why he felt a bit of guilt about the timing of his trip to Las Vegas.
Ricciardo provides insight into goals for 2023
Taking to LinkedIn, Daniel Ricciardo explained how this would perhaps be the first year when his goals will not be 100% about ‘racing and competing’. He said that since he now has more time on his hands, he now also wanted to focus on his personal goals alongside his professional goals.
The first of his personal goals include traveling on his own terms and visiting new countries as a ‘local’ rather than for just his professional duties. Secondly, he stated that he wants to spend more time with his family and loved ones, something which he has not ‘been able to do for so long’.
And last but certainly not least, he wants to improve his skillset on two-wheelers. Ricciardo said that while he has always had a love for motorbikes, because of the lack of time, he has never been able to get better on his 110. However, since he now has more time on his hands, he wants to continue his passion for ‘learning new skills’.
