“You can’t make a tiger out of a cow!”- Franz Tost comments when mentioned Nikita Mazepin, according to a recent interview.
Nikita Mazepin has the least impressive portfolio among the three rookie drivers, with a starting spot in 2021. His family inheritance has apparently helped him fund a Haas seat, but nothing can promote him from here.
Franz Tost, who would be hosting a rookie driver- Yuki Tsunoda, at Alpha Tauri this year, made an aggressive statement on Mazepin when RacingNews365.com asked about the new rookie inclusions.
“Of course, I could get brutal again and say you can’t make a tiger out of a cow! In the end, it always depends on how much brain a driver has and then switches on in the cockpit”, the Austrian remarked.
“In my long time in motorsport, I have found that, in the end, only drivers who are intelligent and know why they are doing something will prevail.”
The source claims that. Tost was referring to Mazepin while saying this, and on the contrary, was full of praises about Mick Schumacher and Tsunoda.
Nikita Mazepin- An anti-hero element
Mazepin is undoubtedly the most hated F1 personality as of now, and, surprisingly, he is yet to give a single Grand Prix race appearance till now.
The Russian has been blunt with his words in the last few interviews and doesn’t care if it adds to his bad reputation. F1 hardly had anyone in recent years who could be disliked so much.
Hence, an anti-hero character has stepped into the competition, which might flare up off-track activities and give content to the media. However, there would be a limit to his antics and could also bring a ban on himself.
Along with Schumacher and Tsunoda, he is set to race in F1 for the first time on 28th March in Bahrain, as it is the season opener.
