Fakhar Zaman excludes Virat Kohli from his All-time T20 XI

Fakhar Zaman excludes Virat Kohli: The Pakistani opening batsman has no place for the Indian captain in his All-time T20 XI.

Pakistan opening batsman Fakhar Zaman has excluded India captain Virat Kohli from his All-time T20 XI. Another notable absentee from Zaman’s T20 XI is his limited-overs captain and the current No. 1 T20I basman in Babar Azam.

Zaman opened up on his all-time favourite combination in an interview with Cricket Pakistan. The 29-year old player had last played for Pakistan during their tour of Australia last year.

Currently playing for Lahore Qalandars in the fifth season of the Pakistan Super League, Zaman has scored 52 runs at a strike rate of 130.

Veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik remains the only Pakistani cricketer in Zaman’s All-time XI. India limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah are the only two Indian cricketersin the team.

“I would first choose South Africa’s batsman AB de Villiers and then India’s opener Rohit Sharma. England’s hard-hitting batsman Jason Roy would be on my team.

“Pakistan’s all-rounder Shoaib Malik comes in at number four. After Shoaib Malik I would include England’s wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler in the team,” Zaman was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

Despite the presence of Sharma and England opening batsman Jason Roy, Zaman choosing de Villiers as an opening batsman in his team came as a surprise. In three stellar all-rounders, Zaman announced the presence of Australia’s Glenn Maxwell, England’s Ben Stokes and West Indies’ Kieron Pollard.

Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan, who has taken the format by storm, is the lone specialist spinner in Zaman’s squad. The southpaw also incorporated two outright fast bowling options in Mitchell Starc and Jasprit Bumrah.
