Need for Speed: Most Wanted

The Need For Speed: Most Wanted (2005) voice actress, Simone Bailly, leaked that one of the most iconic racing games is getting a remake. Further, the remade edition of this 2005  classic is set to release next year.

Racing is possibly one of the most famous genres in video games. There have been many exciting racing titles, but no one comes close to the legacy of Need for Speed (NFS). It is possibly the most famous racing game series, even more popular than Forza Horizon and F1.

But among the various NFS games, one particular installment has a special place in the hearts of gamers. It is none other than the 2005-released Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Now this fan-favorite NFS title is getting a remake.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted remake on the way

Everyone remembers the female officer who accompanied Jonathan Cross in Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005). Recently, the voice actress behind that role took to her Instagram to share major news. Simone Bailly claimed that a remake of the game would be released next year.

“Need for Speed: Most Wanted Remake is being released in 2024, LIKE & comment if you want to see Cross (Dean McKenzie) & his partner (Simone Bailly) hunt down the most wanted.”

The post revealing this remake was later deleted from Bailly’s Instagram. There are chances that she wasn’t supposed to share this information yet. So Electronic Arts might have asked to remove it. However, fans already took screenshots of the post and shared it across the internet.

Bailly later shared another image on her Instagram, where she was hanging out with Dean McKenzie. The latter is none other than the voice actor for her in-game partner, Jonathan Cross. Even though the voice actress deleted the original post, this one sure hints at a remake.

Fans are a bit skeptical about the remake

Fans consider Most Wanted to be the peak of racing video games. There have been many mods of this game to improve the visuals. So fans are eager to hear of a remake, which may have upgraded graphics and gameplay. However, fans are also skeptical about the remake.

They are not wrong to be worried about the remake, as the last few NFS titles didn’t do as well as older installments. Fans are hopeful about EA not ruining this fan-favorite classic with the remake. It would be interesting to see how things will unfold.

Electronic Arts is yet to reveal anything about the Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) remake. So they should keep an eye on the American game developers. If you found this news interesting, click here to read about the Black Panther game that EA is currently working on.
