New Valorant Agent 2023: Release date, leaks and more

As per recent reports, three Valorant agents will be launched in 2023. Out of these three, Gekko was already launched during VCT LOCK//IN. Riot Games had already revealed that the agents will have different roles, and Gekko plays the role of an initiator. Now, a new Valorant Agent has been teased for a 2023 launch. Valorant Episode 6 Act 3 gave out the first hints for the agent.

Depending on what Riot thinks could be a great addition to the lot, this agent could take up the role of Sentinel or Controller. Here is everything we know so far about the agent.

New Valorant Agent teased for 2023

According to a tweet by a prominent Valorant leaker, VALORANTLeaksEN, a new agent will be launched soon. He hinted that a playercard which was launched in Episode 6 Act 3 is the teaser for the new agent. The playercard named Death Trap is a part of the Valorant Episode 6 Act 3 battle pass.

There are many hints surrounding the role of the agent. As a hint, 008 is written on the edge of the shield, which makes players think it takes inspiration from a spider. This theory stems from the fact that the last agent was based on the lizard Gecko and the agent was named after it.

Other fan theories suggest that it could come out in Act 8 because of the 008. However, neither of the theories can be confirmed till the time the agent isn’t released.

Fans have also anticipated that this agent’s shield hints at SmokeDancer. This movement in the middle of the shield makes fans think that this could be an extension of the previously hinted at agent.
