Gareth Bale didn’t celebrate his winning penalty goal for Real Madrid with his teammates in the game against Levante.

Real Madrid defeated Levante 2-1 in a game marred with yet another VAR controversy.

The side was awarded a hotly-contested penalty after Casemiro went down far too easily inside the box. Gareth Bale, who came on for Karim Benzema barely minutes ago, secured the three points for Real Madrid with an ice-cool finish.

However, the Welsh forward didn’t celebrate the goal with his teammates, brushing them aside when they came to congratulate him.

He quickly turned over and reached the centre of the pitch as the game kicked off yet again.

It has now been reported by Spanish outlet Cadena SAR that Bale is unhappy with his teammates – especially Marcelo and Thibaut Courtois for their recent comments about his behaviour.

Bale, who prefers to keep a low profile in the media, is unhappy with the fact that both the players spoke negatively about him in the public domain.

Earlier this month, Marcelo stated that Gareth Bale “doesn’t speak Spanish at all” and that they “communicate through gestures” inside the dressing room. Courtois, meanwhile, accused the Welshman of failing to adapt to the lifestyle in Spain.

It can be argued that Bale’s disgruntled celebration (or the lack of it) could be due to him not starting the games for Real Madrid. However, the report from the Spanish media outlet suggests that the Welsh forward is indeed turning into an isolated figure inside the dressing room at Real Madrid.

Here’s the video of his goal, followed by a lack of celebration:

There’s also an argument which suggests that Bale showed his anger towards being sanctioned after “provocative celebration” against Atletico Madrid earlier this month. There were reports that the Welsh forward could face a 12-game ban for the celebration.

What do you think? Is Bale heading for a Real Madrid exit or is it his own way of protesting against being benched/sanction for celebration? Let us know in the comments.
