India underwent major changes yesterday with the government scraping article 370 of the Indian Institution. The provision gave Jammu and Kashmir special rights and barred people from the rest of the country from buying land in the Northernmost state.

Union Home minister Amit Shah tabled resolutions rejecting Article 370 in the Rajya Sabha. The Rajya Sabha endorsed both the goals and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, 2019. Both will currently come up in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. The Rearrangement Bill changes over the state into a Union territory with the council, and hived off Ladakh area into another Union territory without legislature.
Former Pakistan Cricketer Shahid Afridi criticised the Indian Government to withdraw the special status for Jammu and Kashmir and claimed that human rights were being violated in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Afridi described the move as an unprovoked aggression and urged United Nations to step in.
Kashmiris must be given their due rights as per #UN resolution. The rights of Freedom like all of us. Why was @UN created & why is it sleeping? The unprovoked aggression & crimes being committed in Kashmir against #Humanity must be noted. The @POTUS must play his role to mediate

Gautam Gambhir slams Shahid Afridi over his comments on Article 370
Former India opener Gautam Gambhir then took it upon himself to respond to the Pakistani Maverick. He said that Afridi was astute in his assessment of Kashmir and needs to be lauded for it. However, he forgot to mention that the crimes were taking place in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. He then assured Afridi that they would sort it out before calling him ‘Son’ just to leave that little sting.
@SAfridiOfficial is spot on guys. There is “unprovoked aggression”, there r “crimes against humanity”. He shud be lauded 👏for bringing this up. Only thing is he forgot to mention that all this is happening in “Pakistan Occupied Kashmir”. Don’t worry, will sort it out son!!! pic.twitter.com/FrRpRZvHQt

This is not the first time, the two have clashed, on or off the field. Afridi and Gambhir famously had a run in during an India Pakistan match in 2007. Following which their relation has never healed. Earlier in the year, in his autobiography, Afridi claimed that Gambhir had a lot of attitude and no personality. Gambhir responded to this by offering him a trip to the psychiatrist.
