Manchester Weather Live Update: What is the rain forecast for India vs Pakistan 2019 World Cup match?

Manchester Weather Live Update: The weather prediction for today’s match will remain in the limelight throughout the day.

To the likes of billions of people following the high-voltage match, the 22nd match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between India and Pakistan at Old Trafford has started on its scheduled time. Given the prevailing weather conditions in England, the match was expected to face the wrath of rain.

Manchester Weather Live Update

While the weather gods have been kind enough till now, don’t be surprised if showers start to call the shots during the day. The weather is currently cloudy with rain expected to fall down around 12-1 PM.

It is worth mentioning that it is the only slot for which rain is expected to fall down. From 2-5 PM, both sun and clouds are expected to play hide and seek. Post which, only clouds will have their say.

Only a drastic change in the current prediction should see a lot of rain happening in the middle. In the absence of a massive change, expect the match to not get affected much.

During the toss, Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and chose to field. Citing the cloudy conditions, it was the right call. At the time of writing this article, Pakistan haven’t managed to strike with the new ball. At the end of the first powerplay, India have scored 53/0 with both Lokesh Rahul (14) and Rohit Sharma (37) looking good in the middle.

Talking about the changes, Pakistan have brought back all-rounder Imad Wasim and leg-spinner Shadab Khan in place of batsman Asif Ali and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi. On the other hand, India included all-rounder Vijay Shankar as a replacement for injured Shikhar Dhawan.
