Hakim Ziyech To Chelsea: Blues agree an oral agreement with Ajax for midfield sensation

Hakim Ziyech To Chelsea: Blues agree on an oral agreement with Ajax to sign midfield sensation on a €45 million deal, player set to join in summer.

Chelsea has finally made their first signing after the revocation of their transfer ban in Hakim Ziyech. According to the report by De Telegraaf, Chelsea has reached an oral agreement with the Blues for €45 million.

It has been further claimed that the Morrocan International will join the club this summer, as the next transfer window is after this season. Although, Chelsea tried to grab the player in January, but failed to convince the Dutch side with their proposal.

Ziyech gained massive fame last season after his splendid performances raised his hype. Many people were shocked by his current valuation, and this figure has certainly helped Chelsea to make a reasonable deal.

With the qualities of the 26-year-old midfielder, Chelsea has certainly made a good signing with this price in the current inflated market. Ziyech probably impressed Chelsea Frank Lampard during the Champions League clash at the Stamford Bridge this season.

Even though Ziyech gave 2 assists in that match, Chelsea eventually defeated Ajax. The Morrocan player has been brilliant this season as he has amassed 8 goals and 21 assists in the 29 appearances he has made across all competitions.

Ziyech was one of the few remaining players from the lineup that brought Ajax into the semi-final of the Champions League 2018/19, as Frenkie De Jong and Matthijs De Ligt, two prominent stars from that team left the club last summer.

Last summer, even Arsenal was willing to sign Ziyech, but the Gunners withdrew their interest at the last moment. Giving their local rivals, Chelsea a freeway in the pursuit of him.
