The two powered Tottenham to an empathic win on Monday
After waning and regressing in form as their roof came crashing all about them, Tottenham have managed to get their house in order. The side’s 4-1 hammering of Crystal Palace on Monday was the club’s third successive win in the Premier League, a result which took the club to sixth place in the points tally.
Kane And Son Tailor 14th Goal
And it was only befitting that Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son moved in unison to complete their side’s schooling of Crystal Palace on the day. Tottenham’s fourth and Harry Kane’s second on the night was set up by Son, a strike which saw the two combine for their 14th goal this term.
The figure now sees the two as the most illustrious duo in a Premier League season with the pair eclipsing the record set by Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard.
Kane Nets Sterling Goal
Tottenham’s pulsating win was spearheaded by Harry Kane with the club captain scoring twice and assisting the one goal as well. The striker stamped his authority on the pitch with a sumptuous effort, one which saw him cleanly strike to ball to thunder it past a helpless Vincent Guaita.

Club head honcho, Jose Mourinho talked about the performance and spoke about how he was chuffed with the side’s approach.
He added: “I told them at half-time I was very happy with the goal we conceded. They think I was crazy.
“It was proof to the players if you lose control and start dropping, they have one, two three crosses and it’s difficult to keep a clean sheet.
“That 1-1 put us in a position where we had to go forward. Because of the feeling of the first half, it was about 2-1, 3-1, and not 2-1 and drop back.
“I think I passed the feeling to the players. They were relaxed and optimistic.”
“When you concede in the last minute of the first half, the tendency is to go into the dressing room with bad feelings and start the second half moaning about the goal.
“The way the team started the second half shows a little bit, the team is happier, is playing better, doesn’t feel that negative pressure. It was a good week for us.
“Next week we have a crucial match in the Europa League and derby against Arsenal. Nothing could be better for us than winning all nine points this week.”
