“He will continue to be our player”: Norwich City Assert They’ll Not Be Selling Buendia Amidst Arsenal Interest: The Championship side has affirmed that they’ll do everything to ensure Buendia remains their player

Emiliano Buendia’s goal and assist against Barnsley for Norwich City was a testament to the massive interest the player has ignited in his services. Ever since joining Norwich City in 2018 from Getafe, the player has emerged into a quiessential figure at the club owing to his sprawling expertise.

Its seen a string of clubs line up to indulge in his services with Premier League’s Arsenal said to hold a serious interest in the player. The side is set to have been long term admirers of the player with reports being rife of the club making a move for the enigmatic player during the ongoing transfer window.

However, Norwich City have been quick to quell down any such talk with manager Farke dousing any talk of the player departing the club in the near future.

“Emi is a key player for us, an important member of the group, and he is totally committed to us,” Norwich City’s manager Farke said.

“He is our player and will continue to be our player – he is on a long-term contract with the club so we keep him.

“Everyone knows his qualities – and I don’t expect interest just because he scored a wonder goal today. He has scored a number like this for us and people know what he can do.

“It was an excellent finish and that is what Emi can do. He instinctively knows when to make a run and then has the quality to finish like that.”

The 26 year old player has already netted 7 times for Norwich City in the Championship this season with him spearheading the side’s return to the Premier League.

Although the comments are set to deter Arsenal, the club could end up still moving for the player in the upcoming days. Arteta has said that the club is going to be extremely active in January transfer window as the side looks to rope in electric names to compensate for a telling lack of goal scorers at the club.
