Making a Lectern in Minecraft Using 3 Simple Steps
Collecting All the Ingredients
First, we will need to collect leather, wood, and sugarcane to make a book and bookshelves. Let us break it down so you can better understand it. For the leather, we will need to find some cows. You can find them in grassland biomes. They will not always drop leather but keep farming the cows until you get all the leather you require.
Next, we farm sugarcane to make paper. You can find sugarcane near the water blocks and riverbeds. Sugarcane grows on sand only near the water. You will need to farm three sugarcane to make one piece of paper. Therefore, get nine pieces of sugarcane which we will use to make a book.
Lastly, make sure you collect lots of wood and turn them into logs. Then turn those logs into slabs using the crafting table.
Making the Appropriate Items
Let’s take a headcount here. You have slabs, leather, and sugarcane. Let us make a book by using that leather and sugarcane. First, take three pieces of sugarcane and put them in the middle row of the crafting table in a horizontal alignment and craft. This will create one piece of paper. Rinse and repeat until you have three.
Now that you have paper, let’s use that to make a book. Arrange the papers and the leather in any way on the crafting table, this will create a book. You will need to make three books.
Now let’s make a bookshelf, which is also a piece of furniture you can use if you do not want a lectern. Open the crafting table, place three books in the middle row in all three grids horizontally. Place wooden slabs in al the remaining grids on the top and bottom row. This will make a bookshelf. Let us make the lectern.
Crafting the Lectern
For the final step, let us make the lectern. Open the crafting menu, place the bookshelf in the middle grid and place three woden slabs on the top row and one slab directly below the bookshelf and craft. There you have it folks! You have made the bookshelf.
