Flick has been strong tipped to take over from Low as Germany coach
For quite some time now, Hansi Flick has been touted to leave Bayern Munich. With the German job set to be vacant later this year, the Bayern Munich manager was set to be enticed by taking over the role.
Speculations of him exiting the club gained fire ensuing Bayern Munich’s departure from the current season of the Champions League. Despite defeating PSG 1-0 earlier in the week, PSG managed to progress through on away goals.
Flick To Leave Bayern Munich
The worst has now come true for Bayern Munich’s supporters with Flick asserting the news on Saturday. The Bayern Munich manager spoke after his side’s thrilling 3-2 win against Wolfsburg, revealing that he would leave the club at the end of the season.
“I told the team today that I informed the club during the week, after the game in Paris, I would like to terminate my contract at the end of the season,” Hansi Flick said today.
Flick is meanwhile on course to lift another Bundesliga trophy with Bayern Munich. The manager had previously talked about the task at hand prior to his side’s matchup with Wolfsburg.
“We are absolutely focused, as always. There are still 18 points to be awarded. It is not enough to play at half strength or 95 percent,” Flick had said.
“Our mentality has set us apart in recent years. We want to become German champions as soon as possible, but it can also be open until the end. It is up to us. You have to expect everything, but we’re looking at the five points positively. We want to keep the distance, for that we need three points in Wolfsburg.”
Flick will be leaving Bayern Munich having won everything plausible with the side. The consummate success he tasted in meagre time sees him as outright favourite to become Germany’s next coach.
Bayern Munich meanwhile are currently said to be interested in RB Leipzig’s Julian and Allegri to replace Flick.
