India’s first day at the Asian Games has been a story of mixed fortunes. While Manu Bhaker and Abhishek Verma failed to qualify in the mixed team event of 10m Air Pistol and Sushil Kumar lost in the qualification round, Bajrang Punia bagged the first gold medal for India towards the end of the day.

Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar also won a bronze medal at the 10m Air Pistol mixed team event.

On Day two, big names like Vinesh Phogat, Manavjit Singh Sandhu and Sumit Malik will be in action.
