Low self confidence is like a parasite that eats you on the inside, slowly but constantly. It dissolves your inner reserves, pushes you into a dark corner, and crushes your spirit. It creates a void, makes you feel hollow and you are left devoid of any positive vibes.
For all the brilliance that RCB possess in their squad, it’s the lack of self confidence that has destroyed their season this time round. It’s a great advertisement for teams around the globe to focus on mental training as well. because once the mind is clouded, you can’t think straight on the field. Players of the stature of Kohli, ABD, Gayle and Watson have been subjected to so much humiliation this season, that it has fiddled with their mental capabilities, and led to a season full of dejection.

Also, the Chinnaswamy curator has to take some blame for RCB’s downfall. You can’t keep dishing out two paced wickets, when your team is full of powerful stroke makers. RCB have never had a sound bowling attack, and have always depended on their batsman outscoring the opponents, so if the pitch is assisting the bowlers a wee bit, their advantage is knocked right out of the window.
Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn though weren’t for even once affected by the two paced nature of the track, taking the game and RCB’s pride away from them in the power play itself. KKR now look almost assured of that playoff spot and will now want to make that final surge for those first two spots.

Kings XI now need to win all their remaining games, and then hope that a few results go their way.
Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians have been highly impressive with how they have gone about things this year. Getting Jos Buttler to open the innings, using Pollard and Pandya wisely, drafting in Johson when needed and showing a lot of faith in Nitish Rana. No wonder they have already qualified for the playoffs.
With two losses in two, Sunrisers, who were almost certain of a playoff spot, will now have to depend on other results to go their way in order to guarantee themselves a place in the last 4.
Nehra has been ruled out, Siraj should be coming in for him. SRH has always boasted of a very strong bowling line up, but they haven’t really been that brilliant with the ball in the last few games. They need that department to click, otherwise they could bow out in the league stage while trying to defend their title.
