Fantasy Tips for MI vs RCB

MI and RCB find themselves in familiar territory right at the start of IPL 2018. Mumbai have been pegged back to a corner and though history suggests that they know how to recover from such a situation, their luck has to run out sometime soon.

For RCB, their bowling woes have returned and they once again find themsleves searching for that right balance that can make them click.

They have gone in with a top heavy side and have left the rear unguarded. It has hit them hard once again and it is up to Kohli now to take a few tough calls and balance this side out as soon as possible.

Mumbai Indians have probably found their best XI and it is now upto their ‘stars’ to rise to the occasion and win games for the franchise.

Let’s get to business now!

Now, I already have Virat Kohli, Evin Lewis and Kulwant Khejroliya in my side for this game.

The Wankhede track has been as flat as a road and I expect more of the same today, hence I would advise you to stay away from brining in any bowlers for this game.

Whenever RCB plays, all the talk regarding the transfers is going to be around AB de Villiers. His batting position has been my only concern with getting him in this season, as he has been pushed down to number 4 and is left with either a little too much to do or too little to do when RCB bat second.

However, if RCB bat first,  he can go berserk like he always does and thus you just need to get him in.

Considering the surface at the Wankhede and the number of runs that are expected, get him in irrespective of when RCB bat, if you have enough transfers in place.

Yes, there is the Krunal Pandya threat, as he has dismissed AB de Villiers 4 times in the IPL, but then you can bank on AB de Villiers preparing well for the Pandya test tonight.

Now, Rohit Sharma’s impact potential has taken a severe hit, one because of his form and two because he has moved down the order.

Suryakumar Yadav was slotted into that opener’s role last time round and having scored a 50 he isn’t going to give up that role anytime soon.

So, you can leave out Rohit, and wait for him to rediscover his form a little bit, before even thinking of drafting him into your consideration set.

Now, the other question is, do you bring Bumrah in?

Bumrah hasn’t quite lit the IPL on fire this time round, though he has been on the mark during the death, except in the game against CSK.

However, I would advise you to not get him in this time round, as the Wankhede doesn’t really approve of bowlers of any kind. Save the transfer.

Now, for the uncapped player I get in Surya who was in impeccable form in the last game and should be able to carry it on against the rather meek bowling attack of RCB.

Match Powerplayer: AB de Villiers(if RCB bats first)/Evin Lewis(if MI bat first)

Transfer out: Andrew Tye, Rishab Pant

Transfer in: ABD, Mayank Markande

Now, I already have Virat Kohli and Evin Lewis in my team for this game.

It gets a little tricky in Fandromeda as all the players having a high price are scheduled to play tomorrow and hence I can’t transfer them out.

So, I’ll have to make a small sacrifice here, if I want to get in ABD.

Rishabh Pant can be transferred out as DD don’t play for sometime now, but in order to enable his transfer to go through, I am forced to bring in the 60k worth Mayank Markande into my side, which isn’t a punishment actually, as the wiley leg spinner has picked up some crucial wickets this IPL.

I won’t be making any more changes to my side for this game. If you want to be a little adventurous, you can get in QDK for this game.

Batting Powerplayer: ABD(if RCB bat first)/Virat Kohli(if RCB bat second)

Bowling Powerplayer: Mayank Markande
