Fantasy Tips for SRH vs RCB

SRH and RCB find themselves at different ends of the spectrum in the IPL. Maybe the points table does not ‘exactly’ reflect that, but the approach and the mindset of both franchises does.

SRH have invested heavily in their bowling unit, and a major part of their success has been due to the performances of the Indian fast bowling unit that they have set up.

Basil Thampi, Sandeep Sharma and Siddharth Kaul have very admirably take on the onus of delivering during Bhuvi’s absence and have helped SRH cement their position at the top of the IPL points table.

Rashid Khan has gone about business in his usual charismatic way, bamboozling batsmen with his trickery and bowling miserly during the middle and death overs.

RCB on the other hand are heavily dependent on their batting unit. A lot rests on the shoulder of ABD and Virat, as the team dynamics suggests that once the duo fail, the team loses confidence in everything that it does.

So, essentially it will be a battle between arguably the best batting unit in the IPL versus the best bowling unit in the IPL.

Let’s get to business now!

Now, I already have Virat Kohli, ABD, Shikhar Dhawan, Rashid Khan and Siddharth Kaul in my side for this game.

Alex Hales and Kane Williamson seem to be good buys, especially Hales who performed well in the last game.

Williamson has been in good form this IPL and seems like the safer bet as he wouldn’t have to counter the early swing that Yadav and Southee have been able to extract.

Now, I will not be bringing in either of them because of the paucity of transfers, but if you have more than 20 transfers in the bag, get in Williamson, as SRH play twice in 4 games.

From the RCB squad you can’t really trust any of the bowlers, except maybe Yuzi Chahal. Chahal did go for a few in the last game, but that was primarily because MS Dhoni was at the crease and he knows Chahal inside out.

Chahal has been bowling beautifully this IPL, setting up batsmen with his extremely deceptive ‘slider’. I would rate him as your best chance of getting some fantasy points and thus if you want to get in a bowler on this bowler friendly Hyderabad track, I would suggest getting in Yuzi Chahal.

Should you get Bhuvi in is the biggest conundrum from this game!

Bhuvi seemed a little rusty in the previous game and hence I leave him out for this one too.

For the uncapped player, I get in Murugun Ashwin if he plays, else I’ll get in K Gowtham from tomorrow’s game.

Now, I already have Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Siddharth Kaul and Rashid Khan in my team for this game.

Getting in ABD would be tough because of my team combination, but if you really want to get him in, do so only if RCB bat first.

I won’t be making any other changes to my side for this game.
