Yuvraj Singh expresses excitement at joining Rohit Sharma

Yuvraj Singh expresses excitement at joining Rohit Sharma: The veteran India all-rounder looked forward to representing Mumbai Indians.

After almost remaining unsold in the Indian Premier League auction before IPL 2019, veteran India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh had somehow managed to attract a bidder in Mumbai Indians.

Having represented Kings XI Punjab (twice), Pune Warriors India, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the past, Mumbai Indians will be Yuvraj’s sixth IPL franchise.

In a recent interview with The Times of India, Yuvraj gave hints of preparing for the tournament with full gusto. The 38-year old cricketer also spoke about how him contributing in the middle-order will ease pressure off captain Rohit Sharma.

Yuvraj ‘looking forward’ to represent MI

Expressing his excitement for representing Mumbai Indians, Yuvraj took to his Twitter account in the morning. He asked his fans regarding what he should expect while playing alongside Sharma.

Sharma, who is slated to play two T20Is and five ODIs against Australia before the IPL, was quick to respond to his most experienced signing this year. While Mumbai skipper asked Yuvraj to bring his ‘usual passion’, he also tagged Netflix India and asked them for tips.

Adding to the conversation, Netflix India answered that learning Indians’ ‘Duniya Hila Denge’ anthem would be enough. The online streaming platform also shared the trailer of ‘Cricket Fever – Mumbai Indians’, a documentary on Mumbai Indians which will be made public on March 1.

In 128 IPL matches, Yuvraj has scored 2,652 runs at a mediocre average of 24.78 and a strike rate of 129.68. 12 half-centuries in 10 seasons don’t do justice to someone of his calibre.
