IPL 2020 Auction Date: What is the amount of money left with each IPL franchise?

IPL 2020 Auction Date: The date for the next auction of the Indian Premier League has finally been revealed by the concerned authority.

A recent report in Mumbai Mirror had hinted at the auction for the next season of the Indian Premier League slated to happen in December this year and that the season will commence in April next year.

The development was readily accepted by the fans for it gave them an opportunity to ponder about their favourite teams and their potential squads for the next season.

IPL 2020 Auction Date

The auction for the next season of the IPL will be conducted on December 19 this year. While Bengaluru was a consistent venue for the IPL auction since its inaugural season in 2008, this year will see the auction being held in Kolkata.

Much like the last season, this IPL auction will also be a mini auction. It is worth mentioning that the 2021 IPL auction will be a mega auction which will see franchise actively bidding for numerous players.

All the franchises have also been informed that they can trade players till November 14. It was earlier reported that Delhi Capitals are expressing interest in Rajasthan Royals captain Ajinkya Rahane and Kings XI Punjab Ravichandran Ashwin.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians had swapped leg-spinner Mayank Markande with all-rounder Keemo Paul in July.

What is the amount of money left with each IPL franchise?

Before this IPL auction, every franchise will be allotted an additional INR three crore in their purse. The exact budget remaining with franchise are as follows:

Delhi Capitals – INR 8.2 crore

Rajasthan Royals – INR 7.15 crore

Kolkata Knight Riders – INR 6.05 crore

Sunrisers Hyderabad – INR 5.3 crore

Kings XI Punjab – INR 3.7 crore

Chennai Super Kings – INR 3.2 crore

Mumbai Indians – INR 3.05 crore

Royal Challengers Bangalore – INR 1.8 crore
