James Harden called out NBA referee Scott Foster for biased refereeing, triggering significant discussion among the NBA fans.

“Scott Foster, man. I never really talk about officiating or anything like that, but just rude and arrogant. For sure, it’s personal. For sure. I don’t think he should be able to even officiate our games anymore, honestly.” – James Harden
“I don’t know what else to do, know what I mean? I met with the league with him before and all this stuff. I don’t know what else to do.” – Chris Paul
–
James Harden and Chris Paul were complaining about the referees, after fouling out and losing a game. James Harden now wants to pick and choose who officiates his games. I will allow you five minutes to laugh your guts out. That’s permissible.
Referee Scott Foster has a dubious history with the Houston Rockets as per Rockets fans on the internet and social media. We shall come to that later.
But today’s blast from James Harden and Chris Paul (both of whom fouled out in the 4th quarter) was proof that while Chris Paul’s company has definitely improved Harden’s drive on the defensive side, but has also successfully converted James Harden into a total cry baby.
James Harden, who frustrates fan bases of 29 teams with the ridiculous way he falls over after someone breathes at him, was mad that a referee (not even Scott Foster) called an offensive foul on him for running head first into LeBron James who was outside the restricted area and had his both feet set.
So basically he got mad for being given a foul for having committed a foul. Hmm.
Let’s come back to that stat that has been doing rounds about Scott Foster’s apparent bias against Rockets. Moments after Chris Paul started crying the way Chris Paul does, the narrative started.
According to Rockets twitter nation, Scott Foster officiated games mean an automatic loss for the Rockets. Their allegation that the last 13 games where Scott Foster has officiated the Rockets, the Rockets record is 0-13. Well, that does sound suspicious. That big a number cant be a coincidence.
And well it’s not. It’s as bogus a fact as you are to find on the internet. Here is the Rockets record in the last 18 games where Scott Foster has been an official –
So what exactly is the cause for the Rockets being so mad at Scott Foster? Well, it’s probably not a hard one. Chris Paul is the king of crying on the court. Wherever he goes, that’s the culture he breeds. He is constantly in the ear of the referees complaining about every single call.
To analyze what happened today and to put it into perspective let’s first look at a couple of fouls that haven’t been called on Harden. The officials aren’t to be blamed. They miss calls sometimes. Its human error. But it puts into perspective the absolute meltdown Rockets had today over actual fouls that they committed.

Jrue Holiday was called for a foul on this play. Guess he didn’t give James Harden a satisfactory piggy back ride? pic.twitter.com/ovYRWjLknj

James Harden used MCW for a piggyback ride & was still able to draw the foul 👀 pic.twitter.com/LlnuW9gn7U

(he got a foul called for him on this. My God. They should give him a few techs in advance for the next few games, for complaining about the refs after getting away with this stuff)
Now let’s look at a couple of fouls that James Harden has been so shook over.

His beard got fouled. I think that’s taking the nickname a bit too far.
Let’s look at the foul calls that had Harden and CP3 so mad with the perspective of what they consider to be legitimate fouls.

(notice, Scott Foster doesn’t even call this foul, it’s a different Referee)
Was this not the play both CP3 & D’Antoni got T’d up for b/c they didn’t think it was a foul? pic.twitter.com/WNaANrdZwI

The Rockets complaining about the referees is as funny as the Lakers complaining about a team tampering with their players (found this gem on twitter as well). Referees make mistakes.
Players make mistakes. GMs make mistakes. Owners make mistakes. It makes no sense to go after referees this way and call refereeing in general into spotlight. Not when you are Rockets. Not when you get away with these –
This man @CP3 so shady, how you gon try to dislocate yo “friends” shoulder. @KingJames pic.twitter.com/JaW7s2AaCo

I will leave you with this tiny fact. Chris Paul tried to dislocate a man’s shoulder. A man who is his friend. If you thought that was it, hold on. That is his friend who is also the godfather of his firstborn. And they complained about the referee.
