James Rodriguez to Real Madrid: The Colombian star might return to Real Madrid at the end of his loan-tenure at Bayern Munich.

Colombian star James Rodriguez joined Bayern Munich in 2017 on a two-year loan deal from Real Madrid. James enjoyed an impressive season with the German club, as Bayern Munich lifted the Bundesliga title.

Bayern’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge praised the Colombian after securing the Bundesliga title last year. “It was a very, very good transfer and I have to thank Carlo Ancelotti once again,” said Rummenigge.

However, things have turned for worse for James Rodriguez in the new season with Bayern. Kicker reports that the Colombian is unhappy at the club due to his restricted playing time.

The media outlet also reports that James Rodriguez in favour of a move back to Real Madrid next season.

“Insiders report that the player, in spite of his public commitment to the record champions in the summer, is thinking about a return to Real Madrid,” says the report.

Bayern Munich, however, is hopeful to sign James on a permanent transfer next year. Rummenigge has indicated that the club has ‘gotten a lot of money in cash’ and the ‘financial means to make a big transfer.’

Kicker indicates that 42 million euros are already reserved for the signing of James Rodriguez. Bayern Munich had earlier paid 13 million euros for the services of Colombian for two-year loan deal.
