Chelsea looking to sign English striker?
With all the negativity surrounding Chelsea, their 2-1 victory over Tottenham away was a surprising result to say the least.
The reigning Premier League champions have been in shambles even before the seasons started. Conte first had problems with the Chelsea board for not making enough signings.

Then there was the Lukaku fiasco, as Manchester United came in and stole the Belgian from under Chelsea’s nose. Soon after that, Diego Costa revealed that he would not be returning to Chelsea, and wanted to be sold to Atletico Madrid.
When the season did kick off, Chelsea lost to Arsenal in the Community Shield and then lost their opening day fixture against Burnley at home.
All of this seemingly galvanized Conte, who managed to drill his team into shape as they put in a great performance against a free flowing Tottenham side.
The Chelsea boss is looking to add some more fire power to his side, which is why he is still in the market for a striker.
Reports are now coming in that Jamie Vardy may have become Chelsea’s number one priority in the striker’s position.
The Leicester City marksman, who scored two in the opening day loss to Arsenal, is still one of the most feared strikers in the Premier League.
His sheer pace and lethal finishing makes him a terrifying opponent for defenders, which is why Conte is interested in signing him.
This is what a Ladbrokes spokesperson had to say,
“This one really has come out of nowhere, but with Chelsea in desperate need of some added firepower up top, we’re taking no chances.”
