Jofra Archer bowling: Watch England hint Archer's debut during 2nd 2019 Ashes Test at Lord's

Jofra Archer bowling: England Cricket have posted a video of their fast bowler rattling stumps at will in First-class cricket.

England announced their 12-man squad for the second Test of the ongoing 2019 Ashes series against Australia yesterday. Among the three changes that England have made to their squad include bringing in all-rounder Sam Curran, left-arm spinner Jack Leach and fast bowler Jofra Archer.

While England had no other option than to exclude the injured fast bowling pair of James Anderson and Olly Stone, they have dropped all-rounder Moeen Ali on the back of a below par performance in the first Test.

While Leach looks set to be included in place of Ale, England now have a couple of options on whom they want to replace Anderson at Lord’s. It will be a call-up between Archer and Curran.

Archer, who emerged as England’s best bowler in the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, holds the edge over Curran especially after his performance for Sussex 2nd XI in a three-day game. Having registered bowling figures of 12.1-4-27-6 in the first innings, Archer followed it up with scoring 108 (99) with the help of 12 fours and six sixes.

The official Twitter handle of England cricket team posted a video of Archer rattling stumps at will in First-class cricket. “Excited to see Jofra Archer make his Test debut,” read the caption of the post which is another hint that Archer will get the nod at Lord’s.
